Hello!
You made it!
Welcome to the new space, egg & dart. I have been wanting to ‘move’ for a little while and now here we are!
You’ve probably got a lot of questions, starting with: “egg & dart?”
I explain where the new name comes from on the ‘About‘ page, accessible in the top menu bar. I’ll always have a special place in my heart for my first online name, ‘gloaming designs’, but as my focus has grown and changed, it wasn’t growing with me. It was time for something that was a better reflection of where I am now and where I am headed.
And where am I headed? This was the biggest reason for the blog home change. For too long now I have been talking about, dreaming about, and wishing for a new adventure doing something I love, a specific thing. And I’m starting now! I launched my first portfolio of work as a Food and Lifestyle Stylist and Photographer and I’m going after those dreams! My heart flutters just thinking about doing this work now and I’m so happy I took the leap. You’ll be hearing more about where all this is taking me through this new blog.
And you can see my online portfolio by clicking up there on the menu bar. It will be evolving as I add more work so check it out from time to time.
As for other fun stuff in this new space, there is a special Albert button that will bring up all the eventual posts about his shenanigans because he is a major character around here. Just like in that picture there: “Oh! You are using your big map of Paris to plan a visit around town? I’ll help you out by laying on the important bits.”
You can keep up with me on Facebook, Pinterest (it’s a drug!), and Twitter. Yup, I tweeted my first yesterday and it’s definitely still strange for me so feel free to give me some support over there!
So, that’s the grand tour for now. I’ll let you know when new and fun stuff appears around here. And thanks for coming along on this new path. It means a lot to me that you’re here. Don’t forget to say hi!
In the meantime, you’ll definitely want to come back tomorrow because I’ve got a bunch of inspiring images from a Night at the Louvre to share (haven’t done one of those posts in a while)!
